Tehran (ISNA) – Within the trading week ending on the 1st of December 2020 the IME witnessed trades of 703,534 tonnes of various types of commodities worth nearly 349 million USD.

According to a report by the IME’s international affair and PR the exchange also traded 361,117 tonnes of commodities on its mineral and industrial trading floor valued at more than 201 million USD. On this floor, the IME sold 347,862 tonnes of steel, 9,180 tonnes of aluminum, 3,440 tonnes of copper, 120 tonnes of molybdenum sulfur, 15 tonnes of precious metals concentrate and 500 tonnes of zinc.

 The IME next trading floor was the oil and petrochemical with 368,613 tonnes of commodities sold on its both domestic and export rings totaling 151 million USD. Commodities sold on this floor were 76,500 tonnes of vacuum bottom, 132,297 tonnes of bitumen, 64,199 tonnes of polymeric products, 38,217 tonnes of chemicals, 54,500 tonnes of lube cut, 150 tonnes of insulation, 2,469 tonnes of base oil, 50 tonnes of argon and 1,300 tonnes of sulfur.

It’s worth noting that the agricultural trading floor of the exchanges saw trade of 22 tonnes of saffron for exportation. The last trading floor was the IME’s side market with 700 tonnes of metal scraps sold on it.
