Tehran (ISNA) – Within the week ending on January 6, 2023, the IME witnessed trade of 2,228,487 tonnes of commodities and 5,002 vehicles with a total trading value of more than 680 million USD, posting growths of 18.85% in value of trades compared to the figures of the previous week.

According to a report by the IME’s International Affairs and PR, the exchange saw on its metals and minerals trading floor trade of 1,777,503 tonnes of commodities worth more than 422 million USD.

On this floor the IME sold 1,130,388 tonnes of cement, 320,000 tonnes of iron ore, 276,541 tonnes of steel, 42,125 tonnes of aluminum, 35,400 tonnes of zinc, 8,250 tonnes of copper, 200 tonnes of molybdenum concentrate, 4 kg of gold bars and 5,002 vehicles.

Furthermore, the IME witnessed on both domestic and export rings of its oil and petrochemical trading floor 411,948 tonnes of commodities valued at more than 236 million USD.

Commodities traded on this floor included 117,025 tonnes of bitumen, 101,000 tonnes of vacuum bottom, 100,832 tonnes of polymeric products, 48,500 tonnes of lube cut, 34,673 tonnes of chemicals, 2,000 tonnes of sulfur, 6,023 tonnes of base oil, 2,424 tonnes of petroleum products and 200 tonnes of insulation.

The IME also traded within the same week 38,613 tonnes of commodities on its side market.
