TEHRAN (ISNA)- Head of Iran-India Chamber of Commerce Ebrahim Jamili said that recent developments would not overshadow Iran-India ties.

Indians are after further economic ties with Iran due to their need to Iran’s market and transit opportunity.

“What has happened in the region will not influence Iran-India ties. Indians are now strengthening ties with Iran. Indians have access to Afghanistan and other Central Asian countries via Iran and cannot replace it with another one.”

He also said that Iran’s trade ties with countries which have cut ties with Iran is not so remarkable which makes Iran worry about losing part of its exports.

Countries including India and China which are Asian giant economies are making efforts to boost economic ties with Iran, he added.
